The MadKit Team

Madkit is realized with the help of a set of (human for the moment) 'agents'. This page is dedicated to them...

Olivier Gutknecht
1.jpeg
Prime MadKit architect and developer, project coordinator

Olivier is the prime author of the MadKit platform. He completely wrote the multi-agent kernel (until version 2.x) and many parts of the host application and system agents. He embedded Scheme into MadKit, giving to the platform its first scripting language. He has coordinated the development of MadKit until version 2.x. The MadKit platform would not have existed without him... He promises he will be back soon to put his hands into the depth of MadKit...

SEdit and Desktop designer, MadKit architect and project coordinator

Jacques is Professor of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of Montpellier, France. He heads, at the LIRMM laboratory, one of the foremost research groups in Europe investigating multi-agent systems. He co-designed the MadKit model and architecture and is the primary author of SEdit, now totally integrated with MadKit. He also wrote the Desktop, many system agents, and embedded most scripting languages into MadKit. Now, he coordinates the development of MadKit and co-design the architecture of the future MadKit 4.x with Fabien.

Simulation Engine architect and developper, core designer of MadKit 3.x and 4.x

Fabien designed and developed with Olivier the synchronous engine, a core component for the simulation applications in MadKit. He also redesigned the core of MadKit 3.x. and is one of the main developper of the Communicator. He is the primary author of the TurtleKit, a StarLogo-like library, and co-designed Warbot with Jacques. He is know working on generic simulation toolkit based on MadKit, and on the architecture of the new MadKit 4.x.

Saber Mansour
18.jpeg
Mobility and P2P (JXTA) communication architect and developper

Saber developed the mobility behavior of agents. Based on MAGR the model he designed on a top of the existing AGR model. He also designed the new way of communication based on the P2P platform (JXTA) that he integrated into the core of Madkit. This new communication layer is based on a conceptual model that extends AGR with the concept of services.
